The parish office is taking applications. Registrants will take two classes. 

Parents must live in the area of Our Lady of the Assumption, and the godparents must have all their sacraments.

To register a person for the reception of the sacrament of baptism, it is necessary to present to the pastor or his delegate:

• An original or certified copy of his/her birth certificate or State of Texas Vital Statistics Decree of Adoption
• An application for Baptism (provided by the parish office), which must be completed by at least one of the parents at least one month before the tentative date for baptism
• Sponsor information (address, telephone number, etc.)
• Proof of marriage for the godparents

All documents are required at the time of registration and all documents need to be originals. No copies or faxes are allowed.

There is a $30 fee for baptisms. Please note there are no private baptisms.

Engaged couples should make an appointment at least eight months in advance of their planned wedding date. Couples will be assigned to a sponsor couple and attend a diocesan marriage preparation retreat. They'll later meet again with the pastor, deacon, or marriage preparation minister to help plan the liturgy for the wedding.

The fee for weddings is $300. 

Confessions are every Thursday 6:30pm to 7;30 p.m. or upon request.

Requirements for quinceañera application:

• Candidate must have attended CCE faithfully for two (2) years before the day of the celebration and must currently be attending CCE at Our Lady of the Assumption.
• Parents must make arrangements for Quinceañera (contract) at least one year in advance of the celebration and/or when the Candidate turns 14 years of age.
• Candidates are required to have the following Sacraments: Baptism, Penance, and First Holy Communion. Parent must provide proof for all Sacraments at time of contract
• Candidates are required to complete service hours throughout the year of preparation by serving as Altar Servers at each weekend Mass. (Training and vestments will be provided. Mass time will be assigned by coordinator).

• La candidate debe haber asistido fielmente a CCE durante dos (2) años antes del día de la celebración y debe asistir actualmente a CCE en Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
• Los padres deben hacer arreglos para la Quinceañera (contrato) por lo menos un año antes de la celebración y/o cuando la Candidata cumpla 14 años de edad.
• Las candidatas deben tener los siguientes Sacramentos: Bautismo, Penitencia y Primera Comunión. Los padres deben proporcionar prueba de todos los Sacramentos al momento del contrato.
• Se requiere que las candidatas completen horas de servicio a lo largo del año de preparación sirviendo como monaguillas en cada misa de fin de semana. (Se proporcionará capacitación y vestimentas. El tiempo de misa será asignado por el coordinador).
